Policemen Stirring Rods (commonly referred to as policemen) are laboratory tools used for stirring solutions or scraping precipitates from glass surfaces, often inside beakers, flasks, or cylinders. These rods, usually made from glass, are often tipped with a rubber or plastic scraper to prevent scratching the glassware.
This, infact, is a multipurpose apparatus which works as a stirrer as well spatula. The fattened ends of this rod form two small spatulas.
