Model No:AEI-GT-SH43
The section cut model is constructed of light and strong metal showing air intake, axial flow, double stage compressor, fuel supply, combustion chamber, turbine rotar, jet thrust, exhaust etc. Gas turbines are versatile engines with widespread applications in various industries. Through this lab, students gain insight into the operating principles of gas turbines, learning about thermodynamics, energy conversion, and engine performance.
The objective of this lab is to understand the basic principles of gas turbines and to observe how they convert fuel energy into mechanical work. Students will learn about thermodynamics, energy conversion, and the components of a typical gas turbine system. Gas turbines operate on the principle of the Brayton cycle, a thermodynamic cycle that describes the operation of the engine. The process involves compressing air, mixing it with fuel, combusting the mixture, and then expanding the hot gases through a turbine to produce mechanical work. This lab will explore each stage of the cycle and its associated components.
