This apparatus is used to measure surface tension by Capillary rise in a small bore. It comprises six glass capillary tubes 125 mm long, ends ground flat, of different bores, supported by a metal frame in a shallow metal trough. The upper part of the frame supports six capillary tubes, each of a different bore, their lower ends resting in the bottom trough. The trough is filled with water the difference in the heights of the resulting columns of water in the tubes is readily apparent. Overall frame height: 90mm capillary tubes length: 150mm
