Vibration Box

Vibration Box is a classic physics apparatus designed to visually and audibly demonstrate the principles of sound production, vibration, and resonance. Commonly used in physics laboratories and classrooms, it provides a hands-on way to explore how vibrations in a medium generate sound waves.

Vibration Box for Physics Lab – To compare the magnetic moments of magnets & to determine moments of inertia etc. Consists of a polished wooden box fitted with sliding glass door. The top of the case is slotted & carries a glass tube fitted with torsion head to support by means of a silk fibre, a brass stirrup to carry magnets etc.

The base of box is fitted with a mirror strip, with a longitudinal index line. Internal dimensions of box 160 x 66 x 66 mm approx. Length of tube 140 mm approx. Stirrup 50 mm long & 45 mm high approx. Complete with one each 50 & 100 mm bar magnets & one each 50 & 100 mm brass bars.

  • Educational Tool: Ideal for teaching the fundamentals of sound, pitch, and resonance to students.
  • Durable Construction: Made from quality wood with a fine finish, ensuring stability and long-term classroom use.
  • Integrated Tuning Fork Mount: Designed to hold tuning forks firmly for clear and consistent vibration experiments.
  • Amplification Effect: Hollow wooden box amplifies sound, making vibrations easily audible to an entire class.
  • Versatile Use: Suitable for demonstrating resonance, beat frequency, and harmonic motion.
